Dr Phil Boyd

From a farming back-ground, Phil originally graduated from Leeds University, before completing his PhD in the field of pig nutrition at Nottingham University. Post studies and before joining Premier Nutrition, Phil worked for seventeen years as pig nutritionist / Technical Director for Cranswick Mill Limited, the agri-business arm of Cranswick plc. In this role, significant experience was gained of both large scale pig production and pork processing, both at the farm level and in discussion with leading UK retailers on issues such as meat quality / product development etc.

In addition, Phil's involvement in developing overseas markets for specialist piglet feed products, has led to extensive travel overseas and the opportunity to compare many different production systems and market requirements. Phil enjoys problem solving on farm and the challenge of practically applying (and commercially evaluating) the latest research findings.
