Ralph joined the Premier poultry team in 2020, having gained significant experience working as a commercial nutritionist in the compound feed sector. His commercial and technical experience is used to support a range of poultry businesses, with particular consideration for practical and cost-effective performance driven solutions. As well as this, Ralph enjoys evaluating the influence of nutrition, management and additives on gut health and the development of new products.

Phil has worked as a commercial nutritionist for over 25 years, spending a high proportion of that time providing technical support to Premier’s clients worldwide. Originally from a pig farming background, Phil has significant experience of large scale pig production, enjoys on-farm problem solving and the challenge of practically applying (and commercially evaluating) the latest research findings. Phil is responsible for managing, supporting and coordinating all technical activities in the pig sector for Premier’s exports.

Shannon joined Premier Nutrition in 2021 as a support nutritionist within our Technical Team. This was Shannon's first commercial role following her gaining a BSc in Bioveterinary Science from Harper Adams and an MSc in Animal Nutrition from the University of Nottingham.
Shannon's interest in calf rearing and youngstock, particularly setting up heifers for their best profitable life in the dairy herd, has led her into a more focused support role within the ruminant team, helping to ensure customers are optimising nutrition and premix formulations.

Nicola is responsible for leading the quality function, site certification and quality management system. She has over 20 years' experience in leading quality teams and in the implementation of processes in the food industry. She is an expert in developing and implementing HACCP plans, and quality systems to fit with business and customer requirements. Prior to joining Premier Nutrition in 2015, Nicola worked in a number of sectors, including poultry and dairy. She is trained at Advanced HACCP level and as a Lead Auditor.

Anna has re-joined Premier Nutrition as a Commercial Ruminant Nutritionist following 2 years working at sister company, AB Vista, as Ruminant Technical Manager.
In her new role, Anna's focus will be on supporting customers with premix specifications and providing nutritional advice across our feed additive offering. In addition, Anna will lead the TMS service, our R&D programme for ruminant products and growing our marketing exposure.

Lottie joined Premier Nutrition in March 2023, bringing with her extensive practical experience of premix and compound feed formulation and manufacture. She will support poultry customers across broilers, layers, and turkeys, using her formulations knowledge and nutrition strategies to optimise their production efficiency, costs and minimising environmental impacts.

Cara started in the animal feed industry in 2000 after graduating from Nottingham University with a BSc (Hons) degree.
She worked for 5 years at an animal nutrition company as an Organic specialist and Product Manager, and then moved to Premier Nutrition in 2005.
Cara is based out in Italy where she manages the Italian office (Udine) where her roles include: nutritional advice and technical support, specialising in micronutrient additions, food formulations, premix formulations and labelling.

In 2015 Rob joined Premier Nutrition to head up the pet and equine divisions having previously held commercial management roles at Roquette UK Ltd for the last 10 years. He has extensive experience of selling and marketing into the pet food, equine, aquaculture, food and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to his time at Roquette, Rob worked in the companion animal veterinary pharmaceutical industry for two top tier global pharmaceutical companies.
Rob works closely with the pet and equine teams to maximise customer benefit from the nutritional solutions available to pet food manufacturers across Europe.
He was awarded a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from The University of Hull and an MSc from Imperial College.

Alan joined Premier Nutrition in January 2019 to develop new business and support our existing customers throughout Ireland.
Alan has worked in the animal feed business in Ireland for over 22 years and has served two terms as President of the Northern Ireland Grain Trade Association. He has a vast knowledge of the feed sector and extensive experience in ruminant and poultry production from working at Moy Park in a senior agriculture role. His trusted reputation and established links in the Irish feed business’ means that he can fully support and appreciate the needs and wants of a customer.

Alex joined Premier Nutrition in 2021 as a Commercial Nutritionist after completion of his PhD from Nottingham Trent University focusing on the skeletal health of laying hens. His research experience can be relied upon within the team to disseminate new, upcoming work in the industry whilst gaining more experience as a nutritionist to best support a range of poultry businesses.

Eloise joined Premier Nutrition in 2016 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with an MSc in Animal Nutrition. Having graduated from the University of Aberdeen and gained a PhD from the University of Glasgow, Donald now has more than 25 years’ experience in ruminant nutrition within the compound feed and premix industries. He is a BSAS Certified Animal Technologist and a Cow Signals Master Trainer.
Donald’s interest in the application of latest research in feeding high yielding dairy cows enables him to transfer scientific study into practical on-farm nutrition and management advice for customers. Donald is responsible for the supplement business in Scotland and the North of England.

Clare joined the business in 2015 as a support nutritionist in the technical team. Previous to this Clare had been a dairy farm hand for 7 months and a groom at her local riding yard for 10 years previous. Clare graduated from the University of Glasgow and SRUC in 2014 with a BSc(Hons) in Applied Animal Science. Clare’s areas of expertise are formulations, product design, NOPs, equine nutrition, labelling and legislation. She is also an R-SQP, has HACCP intermediate 3 qualifications and is FAR registered.

Kayleigh joined AB Agri in 2010 as a nutritionist and has spent the last 5 years as Technical Manager for AB Neo.
Prior to joining AB Agri, Kayleigh spent 3 years completing a PhD in Nutrition at The University of Nottingham after obtaining a 1st class BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Science from Wye College, Imperial London.
Kayleigh has always had a passion for horses and is lucky enough to own 3 of her own. When time allows, she likes to event and show jump. She can also sometimes be spotted showing with her young daughters on their pony.

Dr Andrew Miller joined Premier Nutrition in 2010, having worked for 9 years at The Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition (Mars Pet Care) where he managed a diverse range of pet nutrition research projects and gained a broad experience of applied research and development across wet and dry product formats.
Andrew has particular expert knowledge and interest in palatability, digestibility, cat and dog nutrition, physiology and metabolism. He was awarded a BSc (Hons) and PhD in Animal Sciences by The University of Nottingham specialising in mono gastric nutrition, physiology and biochemistry.
Andrew is heavily involved in the PFMA, being a member of the Small Animal committee and Vice Chair of the Veterinary Nutrition and Review committee.

Ashley joined Premier Nutrition in 2017 as a TMS assessor, she went on to manage the service as specialist in transition in 2020 and has since diversified further as Commercial Ruminant Nutritionist. Ashley gained a BSc (Hons) Animal Science from Writtle University College in 2015 and is registered with FAR, ROSA (Associate) and Cow Signals (Advisor).
Ashley has a strong reputation of leading the way with dairy cow transition with practical and technical on-farm and nutrition management advice for our customers. In her spare time, she runs a flock of Pedigree Blue Texel’s and a small commercial flock and is keen to transfer her skills further for our ovine customers.

Lorna joined Premier Nutrition in October 2023 and will support both current customer accounts and prospective new business in Ireland across all species.
Lorna has extensive experience in the industry following her graduation from Waterford Institute of Technology with a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture Science. She has worked as a commercial nutritionist in the ruminant sector as well as technical roles in both pig and poultry.

Jane joined the Premier Nutrition team in 2010. Before then Jane was the senior technical advisor for another animal nutrition company for 18 years. In 1991 she graduated from the University of Newcastle with a BSc(Hons) in Agriculture, Biochemistry and Nutrition. Jane’s areas of expertise are: EU legislation, Labelling, Formulations and raw material approval legislation. Kate has worked at Premier Nutrition since 2009, formerly heading the International Team in a multi-species role. From the beginning of 2023 she joined the equine team to look after Premier Nutrition's customers both in the UK and overseas. Her focus is on understanding customer requirements and helping them to develop their feeds and supplements using our in-house nutrition, product development, labelling and prohibited substances expertise.
Kate is fully familiar with the equine industry, having spent her early career in the horse racing sector and latterly has evented and show jumped her own horses. Nowadays, Kate’s passion is dressage and she spends her spare time training and competing on the British Dressage circuit.

Mandy is responsible for leading both the customer services and export teams. Joining Premier in 2021 with blue-chip experience, she has been instrumental in creating the CS road map and leading the transformation of the department. Stuart has worked in the livestock industry for over 35 years, gaining experience in livestock marketing, trading, sales and scheme management.
Since joining Premier Nutrition, he has developed the home mix business, providing nutritional support for customers and supplying premix, starter feeds, and straights.
With his strong customer focus and account management skills, Stuart now leads the growing on-farm home mix division, supported by a team of experienced commercial nutritionists.

Lorraine has worked in the feed industry for 20 years after graduating from Harper Adams with a degree in Agriculture with Animal Science. Following a stint in industry, she went on to complete a PhD at Newcastle University examining Behaviour and Meat Taint in Heavy Pigs.
Working as a technical nutritionist and research scientist, with a practical on-farm approach, she ensures both scientific and on-farm trial data are evaluated to confirm that concepts and new products are practically applicable and commercially correct.

Michelle has worked as a commercial pig nutritionist for nearly 20 years. The early part of her career was spent specialising in piglet nutrition supporting the export sales team, which gave her extensive experience of pig production around the world.
Since joining Premier in 2010 Michelle has worked closely with Stuart Rowley, looking after UK home mix clients providing both nutrition and production support. She especially likes working with producers using liquid co-products. Michelle also provides technical support to a compound feed customer in South Korea.
On account of her interest in co-products and unusual raw materials, in 2013 & 2014 Michelle completed a Nuffield Scholarship investigating what the future holds for feed ingredients. Michelle is also a member of AIC’s (Allied Industries Confederation) Feed Advisors Register.

After 12 years in academia in Scotland, first studying and then as a research scientist, Ian moved into the commercial world of nutrition when he joined ABN as a pig nutritionist in 2007. He later moved across to Primary Diets to focus on piglet nutrition and became General Manager Primary Diets in 2015 before taking up the opportunity to lead the specialist neonate division, AB Neo, in 2020.
Ian’s passion for nutrition and profitable and sustainable pig production brings him back to this customer-facing role, working with customers to help drive their business forwards.

Sam joined Premier Nutrition in 2018 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Animal Science. Having started in the technical team, supporting all of the species teams, Sam has since specialised as a nutritionist within the pig team. He provides commercial and technical support to a number of customers, and his expertise covers premix and feed formulation.
Sam is also heavily involved in co-ordinating the pig research programme across several of our trial sites. He is particularly interested in sustainability in farming and developing low-carbon solutions for customers.
