Premier Nutrition supported Anslow Turkeys at their recent Open Farm Sunday event, showcasing some of the raw materials used in turkey feeds at the farm.
Nutritionist, Eloise Lawlor, talked to the 500 visitors about the diets used on the unit and encouraged them to have a go at correctly identifying the raw materials from the samples on display.
Visitors could tour the farm to see young poults as well as their commercial barn from a protected viewing area where birds were almost 8 weeks old. Anslow Turkeys also supported RABI – the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution – selling turkey sausages with all proceeds going to the charity.
